Erap for president?

Are we really that crazy?

All this talk about Philippines being one of the most corrupt countries in the world, people really see it as a place full of good people of a loving nature, of joy and of great beauty.. with a corrupt government. That's always what it ends with. Corruption.

It has become a disgrace. If we elect Erap to be president again, wouldn't the whole country be seen as ignorant?

Has there ever been a national leader in the history of the WORLD that has been impeached and was welcomed back in office? I don't think Americans would want Nixon back in office after the Watergate scandal.

I don't know if Filipinos have completely given up on the idea of a stronger, less corrupt, country. Maybe they're tired of it, just as I am. However there shouldn't be a reason that one should quit fighting for the cost of a better life, for all the Filipinos.

Don't get me started on Villar either. The guy is a mandurukot.

In fact, I'd rather pick myself as president before any of these two. I don't have any background on politics, or the law, but nonmaleficence precedes beneficence, and I think I'd survive doing that.

If anyone's trustworthy in this race, it is Noynoy. Not that he is an Aquino, he is a genuine guy, spiritual and I believe he'll do the right thing.

C'mon Philippines, you have always thought of yourself as an intelligent people capable of great things, why not wrong the right first of all?

  1. Philippines is desperate. That's why they are clinging to the Erap image. Sadly, Erap still con's most of the poor, and the poor makes up most of the country.

I have recently read an article by Erap's wife discussing his "right" to still run for president. I think it falss down to "delicadeza". Yes, maybe legally he can. But morally?

I'm not yet sure about Noynoy though. Maybe decision will come when they have all shown their platforms.

Hopefully, the new generation of voters will be able to distinguish the trapos.

  2. I agree with what you said. I think poor people relate to Erap because of all the movies he's done.

Which is sad, we confuse movie stars with politics, which really shouldn't happen in the first place (see: Manny Pacquiao)

I like what ABS-CBN is doing. I just saw a poll where 51% of Filipinos would want a Aquino-Roxas tandem but its too early.

I heard they're making it automated now; I hope they system is fully hack-proof. The government is still one I don't trust.
